LGC is happy to announce the upcoming premiere of “Underexposed” a documentary about female skateboarding by polish born filmmaker Amelia Brodka.

The documentary is Amelia’s senior thesis project at USC (University of Southern California) and is meant to “highlight women’s skateboarding as well analyze as the skate industry’s approach to female skateboarders”

 I do not intend on making it whiny, accusatory or full of finger-pointing. It is merely an examination of the current opportunities available to female athletes in action sports, particularly skateboarding. By analyzing the media and marketing tactics of the skateboarding industry, we can learn how to promote an increase of opportunities for girls and women who want to pursue skateboarding – Amelia Brodka

At LGC we can’t but feel happy and identified with Amelia’s approach, and therefore we fully welcome this necessary documentary and encourage everybody to see it next May!
