The 2012 All ladies She-Ride and Art Show
July 28 & 29, 2012
This is the first “ladies only” She-Ride at the Historic Maryhill Loops Road. This is not a competition, just gathering of world class athletes and a weekend of support, coaching and, of course, skating the legendary Maryhill Loops Road.
Informal coaching will be provided by some of the best women skaters in the world including Brianne Davies, Marisa Nunez, Dominique Vukorep, Alicia Fillback and other world class women to assist you with all your skills.
On Saturday night, July 28, there is a cocktail party and art show at the new Bruce and Mary Stevenson Wing of the Maryhill Museum of Art. Participants will be able to enjoy the Museum grounds and skater created art in an elegant fashion.
This event is open to all skill levels, from the never-ever to experienced racers, a shortened version of the road is available for those who wish to build their skills and confidence to tackle the whole hill.
All gravity powered vehicles are welcome, skateboard, luge, buttboard and gravity bikes provided by Sin Cycles.
Leathers are HIGHLY recommended but a full face helmet, gloves, elbow & knee pads are REQUIRED.
Spectators and supporters are welcome and food and beverages available on site.
Gates open at 8am, a mandatory riders meeting at 8:45 on Saturday. The first shuttle starts at 9am and the last shuttle is at 5pm. We will try and get as many runs as possible each day. As you know from previous years, this event happens rain or shine.
