Vienna hosts a well linked and fairly networking scene which generated itself within months. Our new movie ‘Life is pretty LEIWAND’ accompanies this scene who turned into a circle of friends. The austrian branch of the Longboard Girls Crew organized this year with friends and dudes workshops, meetings and possibilities for action interested Females to meet likeminded folks. Our approach is to bring more women and girls into skating without having a strict splitting into sexes.Boys and Men are welcome to our meetings. With the help of local start ups and companies within Skateboarding we were able to catch on film how our daily grind and life revolves around decks.

Our documentary includes dancing, freeriding, downhill, corner sessions, street skating, bowl as short interviews with the ladies from the organizing team. During the project a team of local film school students were on our side while the downhill data is captured by Austrian locals.

Different forms of skating are important and brought us together.

We’re not special. We’re not professionals nor OG’s. Our focus isn’t  to be hella talented or dangerous or sucessfull. Our focus is THAT we skate.
