Nov. 8th Exposure event in San Diego. Support Female Skateboarding!

EXPOSURE is a nonprofit women’s skateboarding benefit event dedicated to providing female skaters an avenue to succeed while at the same time raising money for survivors of domestic violence.

This rad event will take place on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Magadalena Ecke Family YMCA in Encinitas, California and some of the best female riders of the world are going. The event is open to all ages with no entry fee to skate and no admission fee for spectators.

Exposure 2014 will feature:
• Professional and amateur vert and bowl competitions
• Autograph session with professional skateboarders
• FREE Learn-to-Skate with XS Clinics
• FREE Sambazon Yoga Clinics
• Food
• Vendor Village
• Opportunity Drawings
• Silent Auction

The Exposure movement comes from the Underexposed documentary directed by rad skater Amelia Brodka and it explores the past, present and future of women’s skateboarding. It focuses on the current uprise of female skaters by featuring footage of girls ripping all over the world. 

The film couples skate footage with interviews from the top marketing and media professionals of the skateboarding industry. Interviews include the heads of: Thrasher, TransWorld, Etnies, Toy Machine, SkateOne and Hoopla.By exploring the business side of skateboarding, Underexposed seeks to figure out how to generate more opportunities for women in skateboarding.
